The discipline focuses on the study of current problems of music education pedagogy within the disciplines "Theory of music Education", "Methods of music education", as well as scientific works of scientists, outstanding music teachers. The study of this subject allows students to come to an understanding of the essence of the problem of research activity as one of the types of professional activity of a future teacher-musician, a direct study of the basics of research activity of a teacher-musician is carried out with the help of a model presented in a compressed form, which includes the knowledge and development of various types of this activity, technologies for the application of empirical and theoretical methods, mastering the process preparation of the final qualification (bachelor's) work.
