Fundamentals of Clinical Skills in Pediatrics

The purpose of the discipline - the growth, development, formation of all systems of the child's body; features of methods of examination, palp1ation, percussion, auscultation in children; volume of examination of patients with childhood diseases; principles of rational nutrition of children and principles of children's body are considered

OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) is an objective structured clinical examination.

1LOС1- applying knowledge of histology and embryology, anatomy, physiology, medical biophysics, molecular biology and medical genetics, medical biochemistry, medical microbiology, epidemiology, the basics of evidence-based medicine, pharmacology and this discipline, makes a prognosis, etiology, and pathogenesis, complications of common diseases in children, solves clinical problems.
2LOС2 - shows anthropometry skills, absolute skills in newborns, and palpation, percussion, auscultation of organs. During the examination of patients, pathology is distinguished from normal.
3LOС3- fills out patient medical history independently.
4LOС4- independently, without anyone’s help, draws up a plan for examining the patient according to nosology, uses time effectively, can offer completed documents, and owns computer equipment.
5LOС5- for the purpose of self-development, shows the ability to constantly learn, therefore he independently conducts experimental work, uses Internet resources and reads medical journals.
6LOС6- independently demonstrates to the patient how to conduct a physical examination. Uses time effectively, can offer presentations, is proficient in computer technology.
