The subject allows to gradually explain the basic concepts of mathematical statistics, elements of the theory of statistical hypothesis testing, correlation and dispersion analysis. Students learn mathematical characteristics of statistical data and empirical functions of probability distribution and its properties. At the same time, it predicts various processes and phenomena using mathematical models built on the basis of statistical data.
