The discipline is aimed at studying word-formation and morphological systems in a scientific interpretation that reflects both linguistic traditions and generally accepted new approaches. As a result of studying the discipline, students will be able to analyze and explain the processes of word formation and morphology from the standpoint of the historical development of the language, master the skills of word formation and morphological analysis.
