The discipline studies the patterns of chemical reactions, the mechanisms of homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis. The student determines the role of chemical reactions in production processes, conducts laboratory experiments on theoretical and applied aspects of chemical kinetics and catalysis, determines the effect of concentration, temperature, pressure, and catalyst on the reaction rate. Forms the skills of calculating the reaction rate by the mechanisms of simple and complex reactions, taking into account the influencing factors.
