Different directions and trends of different times, their innovations, complexes of methods and techniques are considered. The article explains the achievements of linguistic research in modern linguistics, research methods, the concept of a scientific paradigm in modern linguistics, and the role of hypothesis-deductive methods in modern linguistic research. As a result, he conducts scientific research in the field of linguistics, acquires the skills of theoretical and methodological analysis, applies forecasting and planning methods in practice. The lecture course provides an opportunity to further develop and deepen the qualifications of linguists, teaches them to formulate their scientific views in creative research work.
