Adapting the materials collected in the field of literary studies related to Kazakh literature of various genres in the ancient, medieval, and XVIII-XX centuries to the educational system, introducing the relevant problems of literary studies related to the theory, history, and criticism of complex literature. The subject "General Theory of Literature and Folklore" introduces undergraduates to the current issues of Kazakh literary studies with monographs and research articles published in the past, the opinions that clarify the direction and orientation of the modern science of literature, as well as the main ideas and researches in these areas to the upcoming issues, new methods. and aims to teach methods. In addition, he informs undergraduates about the current issues of literary studies, guides them to independently search for future areas of the mentioned field, general literary studies, and guides them in their personal thinking.
