A holistic conceptual view of the historical and literary era, the unique features and patterns of literary development of the XIX century (1 half). The discipline is aimed at studying the creative individuality of each of the Russian classics, their place in the literary process and works from the standpoint of ideological and thematic content, genre features, plot and compositional features, style and poetics.
