The discipline studies the basics of the colloidal state of substances and surface phenomena in dispersed systems. Considers optical, molecular kinetic, electrical properties and stability of dispersed systems, coagulation, methods of obtaining and purification of colloidal systems. The student is able to solve problems on the kinetic properties of a dispersed system, masters practical methods for determining the most important colloidal-chemical characteristics of dispersed systems, conducts laboratory experiments with physico-chemical devices.
