The discipline studies methods and theories of scientific research. In the course of mastering the discipline, undergraduates, in cooperation with colleagues, learn to use scientific research methods in the research process (problem identification, data collection, data analysis and interpretation of results). Undergraduates develop practical research skills, such as searching, collecting information necessary for conducting research on a particular topic, evaluating data, and writing reports.
