The subject teaches the structure, characteristics and modes of operation of various systems of electromechanical energy conversion. Methods of calculating parameters, static and dynamic characteristics, selection of electromechanical converter elements for various purposes are considered. Theoretical knowledge is supported by strong laboratory practice. Using advanced techniques, modern stands allow you to master the skills of working with engines and converters of leading world manufacturers.

1Introduction to electromechanics and electro-mechanotronics. Shared electromechanical converter. Electric machines are the basis of electric power engineering, energy conversion. Energy conversion process in direct current machines.
2Electrical insulation and cable equipment. Electrical insulation in the production of parts of electrical engineering products. Dielectrics and controlled dielectrics, their classification.
3High-voltage isolated structures. Basic requirements for insulation materials.
4Electrical insulation and cable technology. Electric, thermal and magnetic field in the cable. Materials used in cables. Basic construction of power cables.
5Electrical installations and systems. Fundamentals of the theory of heat transfer in electrothermal installations. Physical and technical bases and grouping of electrothermal installations of resistance.
6Physical bases of induction heating, sources, automatic control systems.
7Fundamentals and properties of electric arc discharge theory and adjustment of electric arc parameters, their stability. Automated control of electric arc welding units.
8Physical and energetic bases of electrolysis, industrial electrolysis units. Metal processing methods: electrochemical, electrophysical, ultrasonic, magnetic and magnetopulse.
9Low-temperature plasma extraction device, its use. Plasma industrial units, electron beam heating units. Optical quantum generators (lasers). Electro-ion technologies, electrostatic industrial installations.
10Emission of the optical region of the spectrum. Optical and light technical characteristics of materials. Integral characteristics of the light field.
11Basic laws of geometrical optics, metrological bases of photometry, photometric methods, radiation receivers and optical systems of photometric devices. Radiation sources: gas discharge, heat, pulse, laser.
12Lighting equipment and lighting devices. Simple representation theory. Heat calculation of lighting devices. Light power curves of lighting devices.
13Starting-regulating devices. Characteristics of gas discharge lamps serving as elements of an electric circuit. Lighting schemes and stabilization of gas discharge lamps. Power supply schemes and structural implementation of lighting sites. Lighting of industrial buildings, public buildings, entertainment and sports buildings.
14Energetics of electromechanical systems, energy costs and reactive power consumption, ways to reduce costs. Selection of engine power for EE operating modes, long-time, short-time and repeated short-time operation modes.
15Modern systems of the EEZ and directions of their development. Power converter control units of DC and AC machines. Electric vehicle. Urban, industrial electric transport, subway. Main characteristics of electric rolling stock.
