The subject examines the origin of religions, stages of development, laws of religious phenomena in the history of mankind, peculiarities and original nature of belief systems, classification of religions and research methodology. As a result of studying the subject, the student learns the conditions and forms of meetings of religions that have existed in history, the beliefs and worship features of different religions, and develops the ability to show tolerance to different religions and cultures.
