During this course, students develop their abilities and knowledge by developing four skills (listening, reading, speaking and writing). The purpose of the course is the formation of communicative, linguistic, debating, strategic, as well as educational and cognitive competencies among students. Forms knowledge of lexical, grammatical and phonetic units, as well as skills and abilities to use them in the formation and perception of words in a foreign language.

11. forms and improves listening and speaking, reading and writing skills by improving grammatical, phonetic, lexical knowledge;
22.conducts phonetic, morphemic, syntactic and component analysis; improves practical and professional skills.
33. in relation to linguistics as part of Philology-forms theoretical knowledge about the functioning, nature of linguistics, various aspects and features of the theoretical aspect of linguistics;
44. gets acquainted with the content of the main directions, schools, concepts and theories of modern linguistics; gets acquainted with the structure of language and the principles of language theory as the central methodological problems of all modern science;
55. develops professional theoretical and linguistic thinking skills; learns to perceive the theoretical aspect of linguistics from a historical point of view.
