The purpose of the discipline is to form knowledge about the general patterns of the emergence and development of world literature of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.The discipline is aimed at studying the literature of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. As a result of studying the discipline, students will be able to carry out a comprehensive analysis of the works of writers of the specified period from the standpoint of ideological and thematic content, genre features, plot and compositional features, style and poetics.
