The purpose of the discipline: to develop students scientific and practical skills in geography, the history of a particular region, local history, the relationship of society and the environment with toponymic, environmental and demographic factors. The course is aimed at providing information about the historiography of Turkestan, the role and place of the region in world history, as well as the settlement of Turkic tribes on the Silk road. As a result of studying the discipline, the features of toponymic, environmental and demographic factors of the Turkic peoples within the geography of Turkestan will be mastered.
