Purpose of the subject: To create an understanding of the multifaceted nature of Turkish folklore and its formation, development, distribution and preservation characteristics. The subject is aimed at examining the content and genre characteristics of folklore works. As a result of studying the subject, students learn to apply the knowledge gained in the process of collecting, systematizing and analyzing folk literature works and the classifications regarding the formation and development stages of Turkish folklore.

1To master the characteristics of the development of the nomadic culture of the Turkic peoples, their historical periods, the history of the origin of their beliefs, the basic features of their traditions and customs
