The discipline studies the chemical reactions of polymers, their classification and the possibilities of chemical transformation, patterns and features of the reactions. The student examines the main classes of polymers, methods for obtaining high-molecular compounds in industry, conducts laboratory work on methods of polymer synthesis, summarizes their physico-chemical properties. Forms the skills of implementing chemical changes depending on the structure, structure of polymers during aggregate, phase and physical changes.
