The discipline provides for the current theoretical knowledge and scientific achievements on the structure, properties and functions of nucleic acids and proteins. Having mastered the discipline, student masters the mechanisms of storage, transport, transmission and implementation of genetic information at the level of biomolecules, studies the problems of genome assembly, expression and its regulation, the most important polymers of the cell protein and nucleic acid.
