The discipline gives the foundations of financial literacy by developing basic financial and economic concepts that reflect the important areas of students' financial relations. It also forms knowledge and skills aimed at effectively performing the socio-economic role of a consumer, investor, borrower, shareholder, taxpayer, insurer, investor in the financial market and insuring consumers from pyramids and financial fraud.
