The purpose of the discipline is to form an idea about the specifics and role of international humanitarian relations, about the evolution of the role of ethical principles in international relations, about the key humanitarian problems of modern international relations, about the main forms and directions of humanitarian policy of states and international organizations. The student acquires the skills to evaluate and analyze international humanitarian issues and ways to solve them within the framework of global and regional conflicts.

1LO 1- Comprehensive Understanding of Humanitarian Principles: Students will develop a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental humanitarian principles, including humanity, impartiality, neutrality, and independence, and their application in addressing global crises;
2LO 2- Analysis of Contemporary Humanitarian Challenges: Students will be equipped with the analytical skills to assess and critically analyze contemporary humanitarian challenges, including conflicts, natural disasters, and complex emergencies, considering their socio-political, economic, and cultural dimensions;
3LO 3- Ethical Considerations in Humanitarian Response: Through the course, students will explore the ethical considerations inherent in humanitarian action, including issues related to human rights, accountability, cultural sensitivity, and the ethical dilemmas faced by humanitarian practitioners;
4LO4- Practical Skills for Humanitarian Response: Students will acquire practical skills relevant to humanitarian response, including needs assessments, program planning and implementation, coordination, and evaluation, enabling them to contribute effectively in real-world humanitarian settings;
