The purpose of the discipline is to familiarize with the basic concepts and principles of functional grammar. Generalizes and systematizes the sources of functional grammar, the formation of grammar theory, functional and semantic fields in the modern Kazakh language (aspectuality, temporality, temporality, modality, certainty/uncertainty, categories of quantity, categories of critical degree), etc. Defines the features of structural and functional directions. He is able to synthesize knowledge in the field of linguistics and solve scientific and practical problems. Introduction to the concept of function, the history of learning functional grammar, and the basic principles of functional grammar.
