The subject provides students with knowledge on the following issues: electrical equipment of power stations and substations, excitation of synchronous generators, voltage regulation systems of synchronous generators and transformers, main operating modes of autotransformers, short circuits in electrical installations, current conductors and switching equipment, power stations and substations measuring systems, schemes of power stations and substations, consumers of their needs.
