The discipline examines the fundamentals of the theory of the electromagnetic field in vacuum and substances, the basic laws and methods in the theory of the electromagnetic field. Forms the skills of solving problems according to the basic concepts and laws of the theory of the electromagnetic field. Formulates phenomena and processes in nature and technology, considering the classical theory of electromagnetism, the electrostatic field in vacuum, Maxwell's equations, currents and their mutual influence, electromagnetic radiation.
