The discipline "new technologies in linguistic research" familiarizes undergraduates with modern methods of philological research in the field of linguistics and literary studies, teaches undergraduates to apply these research methods in the course of research work. The discipline "new technologies in linguistic research" forms skills and abilities of master students, allowing them to carry out actual philological research work as future masters of philological sciences. During the study of the discipline, master's students master modern methods and technologies of research in philological sciences. In addition, master students will learn to apply in philological scientific research quantitative and qualitative research methods such as interviewing, questionnaires, observation and experimentation. Practiced in conducting etymological analyses determining the origin of place names depending on the field of onomastics linguistics.
