The discipline studies methods of synthesis of chemical compounds, types of reactions and their conditions of occurrence, mechanisms of reactions, the possibility of formation of basic and by-products. The student develops practical skills in carrying out substitution, addition, elimination, oxidation-reduction reactions of organic compounds and identifying their mechanisms. Conducts experimental studies of the methods of product separation and purification from impurities, processes, analyzes and formulates the results.
