The discipline teaches knowledge about the qualitative composition and role of body substances in the processes of vital activity, chemical properties, functions, the mechanism of metabolism and energy, the importance of biochemical reactions in the metabolic process. The student develops the ability to integrate theoretical and applied aspects of biochemical science, as well as interpret, analyze and formulate connections between chemical and biological processes.Forms practical skills by performing experiments.

1LO1-explains the chemical composition of organisms and the structure of the organelles that make up the cell.
2LO 2 - analyzes the role of proteins in the creation of living matter, the elementary composition of protein and methods of its separation and purification;

4LO 4-get acquainted with enzymes, knows the peculiarities of enzyme isolation and purification;
5LO 5-forms ideas and skills about Enzymes, vitamins and other biologically active compounds;
6LO 6 Uses methods and tools to study the structure and properties of nucleic acids, DNA, and RNA;
7LO 7-forms a general idea of energy and metabolism in the body.
8LO 8-forms ideas about carbohydrates and their metabolism, digestion and assimilation of carbohydrates;
