The purpose of the subject “Lexicology of the English language” is to form students'' knowledge of lexicology - a part of linguistics, which is the vocabulary of words and language.
During the course students learn to make synchronous and diachronic analysis, comparative analysis; improves the skills of using methods associated with the study of the systematic organization of the language.
